  1. Chassis outwards. If your happy you can repair anything you can see bodywork wise, and satisfied you know the mechanical failings, make sure your not repairing panels etc to find all the underneath is rotted away.

  3. Well, if you need to use the car during the restoration, then whatever repairs are needed to get it on the road. It doesn’t matter where you start if you are doing a complete restoration, but DON’T TAKE IT APART FARTHER THAN YOUR ABILITIES!!! So many people take cars apart without any idea how to get it back together. Also, many people lose interest after it is apart, so try to keep it together and do 1 small project at a time and keep it rolling in case it becomes an abandoned project.

  4. start with a list and a budget.that will tell you what kind of a Restoration you want to do.
complete restoration can run 20,000 plus
partial restoration depends on the condition and what you want to do with the car.
i suggest a budget because it can get out of hand and before you know it you’ve spent 10,000 and you want to give up.
