How to restore car’s paint?

restoring cars
some kid asked:

My car has fading paint pretty badly. It looks like it needs a clearcoat on the faded spots. What can I do to restore this paint and make it look as good as the rest of the car?

  1. A high speed buffer is your best bet…. followed by car polish and alot of elbow grease.

    then… its time to paint

  2. Try some Blaster Polish on your vehicle. That stuff works awesome.

  3. Sounds like the car may have had some panels replaced and the paint was not done correctly, unless it`s one of the dodge/chryser cars that were famous for paint delamination. Gm also had that problem for a while. Some can be buffed out. Drop in to a clean up shop or a body shop and get another opinion. It doesn`t cost anything but your time
