restore car
gato_del_sol_3 asked:

I’m trying to restore the plastic ‘chrome’ trim in an old car and where it is raised (and quite thin) it used to have a ‘chrome’ look to it, especially on the dash pieces, console, and around the dash bezels. I’ve seen Mr. G’s in Fort Worth, but how best to “do it yourself” in terms of paint? Are there Chrome Paint pens like magic markers? I’ve seen the spray paint in Chrome, but these would be most difficult to tape off and prep for a spray. Anyone have any ideas???? Thanks.

  1. I’m not sure this is a good DIY job. All I can suggest is calling a plating specialist and compare their prices with the cost of reproduction pieces by a muscle car restoration specialist like YearOne.
