Ford Gives Us a Hybrid Sedan

Honda and metropolis have had the midsized market all to themsleves with their entries; the Camry and the Accord, since Ford has dropped the Taurus from their line.People are really starting to notice the new Hybrid power plant modification in the Fusion.The 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show.In comparison to competitors, the Ford Fusion Hybrid gets some of the best in-town gas mileage.Beating out the metropolis Camry by a large margin, and the economical Civic Hybrid by a hair; the Fusion Hybird is ranked at 41 MPG in town driving.Without any help from the internal combustion engine, the electric engine can push the Fusion up to 47 MPH.There are a ton of Vehicle Magazines that have used these tactics to get much better gas savings than the EPA ratings.
Technology in the Fusion allows drivers to learn which style of driving is best for maximizing fuel economy.The Smart Gauge is a set of gauges built into the display. There are 2 LCD screens located one on each side of the speedo which display 4 different information screens.The first monitor will indicate just how much gas is left and also how much energy is left in the battery pack. The second data screen adds an electric vehicle mode indicator and RPM Tach. The third screen displays engine and battery output power.Additional power consumption and power to the wheels are shown in the last data screen.All display screens show fuel efficiency, MPG record, voyage account, and changes in coolant temps.A real time MPG information gauge easily displays to drivers which driving style would be best for fuel economy.
The nav screen shows the Hybrid Energy Flow data.A couple of different things will be displayed like the charge of the car, the various hybrid power systems, the regenerative braking, and the boost.
The Fusion represents the first eco car to use recycle materials in the construction os the interior. After watching metropolis and Honda sell millions of hybrid vehicles; Ford has finally came out with a fuel efficient car that will appeal to the masses.
