i would like to know what you think a rough estimate would be for a 1978 Monte Carlo. i the cars body is in fairly good shape, no major rust or damage, just small dents and stuff that would be common for a car this old. I belive that the car has an engine and transmission in it but does not run. this car would be a great project car. the reason i ask is cause this car is in danger of being crushed and i am thinking about purchasing the car and then reselling it. if i was in the position of restoring the car i would but i already have a 79′ camaro and a 68′ camaro that i’m working on. i would just like to know how much you think i could sell the car for.

P.S. I live outside st. louis, if that has any bearing on the cars value.
Kbb.com only goes back to cars from 1987.

What would be a good restoration car but also a good first car for a boy? I am not looking to do a complete ground up restoration but a car that I could do some good work on.

30s-50s Chevy in particular. But anything along those lines would be nice.

My father has had the red all original Triumph stored in his garage for like 20 years! It was running as of about 10 years ago and we took it out for a spin around the block. It was awesome! Since then the ****** ran into some issues and the car has all the problems you would expect of a car that has sat for 20 years. I am not totally sure it is a ‘59 but the pictures I saw online look very accurate. To the best of my knowledge the car has the original drive train and sheet metal (not sure if any bondo or fiberglass has been added). Any idea what the car would be worth in as-is condition, how about a rough idea of the costs of a moderate restoration? As always, thank you for your response!

Any car, just want to know what to look for first, like rust, damage, etc., and how to fix it.

I bought a classic 63 f-100 ford pickup the other day and the heater was working just fine until it stopped blowing. I am assuming the blower motor is out, but I am not positive. I can’t find the part anywhere and I dont know if anybody fixes them??? If you have experience in the area or know of a parts store that has it(or parts website) please let me know. But if you do know of a site, please check to see if they have it first if you have time. I have checked some online restoration stores and I cant seem to find one.

By the way its a 2 speed and there is no a/c on the car.

Thanks in advance

Sung

I want to start my first restoration project, but I don’t have a lot of experience or money. I think I can commit about $15-18K over the next few years to a car but I don’t know what a smart choice would be. I love 68 fastback mustangs, 69 camaros, 68-70 challengers, novas, etc. Anything with a little muscle and style. Any recommendations on a good first project car?

I’m not looking to show this car and win awards. I don’t have 50,000 to put into it. I just want to build something I can afford and feel proud of putting together. I don’t know what cars are easiest to find parts for, or which cars are notorious for anything. Any help would be HUGE! Thanks all!
