I recently bought a 1964 impala from a friend of mine.
It had been sitting in the elements for a while and is pretty rusty.
Also, it runs fine but sometimes it wont start up and sometimes it will.
Any tips on fixing and restoring it would be much appreciated.

I am looking for a 1 barrel carb. for a 1975 Plymouth Valiant slant 6. My daughters car needs it and I have been told that it is not available to buy. That seem strange being that people restore cars all the time.. Please if you know where I can find one let me know.
Thanks

I have a 1948 Dodge B series 1ton flatbed dually truck, and have been wanting to restore it. However, I’m not quite sure where to start or who to turn to! The wheels are locking rings, and pretty rusted – I’m sure if I were to remove them, they wouldn’t lock back together. It also has drum brakes, and I’d like to go to disc.
I was thinking of just finding a newer dually chassis, and restoring the cab, and just (somehow) fitting it over the front of the new chassis.
Also, even though the old flathead still runs – I just know it’s on it’s last minutes of life… but I’m not quite sure how to know what motor would fit under the hood!

(***Dream idea…- make it a diesel, paint it flat black, put a nice tongue and groove flatbed with chrome strips on the bed, maybe some mean looking exhaust stacks, and maybe -not sure- instead of dually, put big slicks on the back. It’d be fun to use that to tow my race car to the track!***)
If you have done something like this, or know of where I should start or even what to do! Please, fill me in! I love this truck, and want to drive it (safely) again!
–I’m in Washington state, if you know of a business or guy locally!–

If you could email me more info about the people in Washington that know about this type of restoration/project – that would be wonderful!

I was thinking of getting a car through a dealership who deals with bad credit records, in hopes to restore some of my bad record. I am thinking of opening up a new auto loan and having it continued as a open good standing loan for about 6 months to a year. I have the cash to purchase the car in question out right, but would this do the trick instead?

restore or buy a new car?

I am wondering what would be a better car and investment. I was debating whether to buy a brand new 350z convertable and put twin turbo’s on it or to restore my 1994 300zx convertable. I would spend about 25k on my 94 300zx which would go towards stillen twin turbo kit including intercoolers, bov’s intake, full kit in other words. body kit with a complete paint job, worth about 8k for install and paint, not a crappy one. I also would redo the leather, suede, dash, door panels, and consoles on the interior. I would add a new top also, and then to top it off do headers catback exhaust, the entire intake and under drive pulleys. I want to get it to do about 375 hp. And then add a stronger transmission. I want to redo everything pretty much, and if i have extra i would redo suspension and brakes, but that would be the last thing i would upgrade. also new rims and tires. So do i buy a 38,000 car and spend another 10 k, or spend 25k on a very rare car? What would you prefer
i would add the turbo’s to a built motor of course, so the car would be almost a 100% new
