What are the steps in restoring a muscle car?
30th April 2007
I am about to begin restoring a 69 Camaro SS and I was wanting to know what everyone would start out doing before I began.
The car is not going to be original.
Are there any websites that go into detail on how to restore one that would be great?

I have a 289 completely rebuilt with zero miles on it. Its a dandy. Should I put it in a mustang. How much does a 65-66 cost with a bad motor?

PLEASE give me honest advice about this idea. I need some guidance.
Im 32 and have a fair knowldege of old cars. I rent a small apartment in brooklyn with my parents. Me and popps want to buy and sell muslce cars from the 70’s. We dont have space or garage. The car will be on the street until it is sold. We are thinking of getting ones that are almost fully restored90% that need minor work.
1. My question is that would this be ok if we just buy one and sell it and make a profit and then take the money from the first sale and buy more.
2. Is there a market for 70-72 Chevelles or cars like this. Woudl it be worth it in todays economy?
3. Eventhough i have no garage or driveway would it be ok to park it on the street. I will get full insurance coverage. Im just scared. Is it practical.
4. Click this link and tell me if this car is too cheap and why do i see some like this that are worth 30k dollars and this is way cheaper…what is the difference here. Am i missing something?

Credit Restoration?
29th April 2007
I’m 25 and working on restoring my credit to buy my first house in about 15 months. My credit score is 624. I would like to get a good rate for my mortgage. I’m currently paying off the little annoying 500 and 1000 dollar credit cards this month and working to bring down the balance of my bigger credit card(3000). I also have student loans and a car payment(both of which were never late). What’s hurting my score is late payments on the smaller credit cards and 90 day no pay on Ballys Gym, along with short credit history.
Can my score move up to at least 700 in 15 months?

I own a 1970 bmw, and if I need replacement parts to do a slight restoration; would bmw reproduce them if they don’t normally make those parts anymore? Also in general, would a car company reproduce discontinued parts for a car that’s 30-40 years old? And if they don’t where could someone find replacement parts. Including BODY Parts, like fenders, bumpers, etc……

1966 Ford thunder bird restoration info please?
28th April 2007
I bought a 1966 ford thunderbird. Black vinyl top, black paint, black leather interior. I was working on the car untill the beginning of winter when i deemed it took cold to be working outside on the thing.
I just recently spent some time, since it warmed up, to fix the brakes, when i was finished completely I started the car and suddenly the brake lights and turn signals stopped working. I assumed it was the electronics in the trunk (sequential turn signal cam box) but after completely rebuilding and checking currents power isnt even getting back there anymore. I checked all the fuses in the passenger fuse area and all of those are fine and putting power through.
Where else should I be looking?
also does anyone know of replacement or performance headers i can purchase. (these are pretty beat up)
The brake lights arent working. I will see if i can find the flash to test if its working. anything else that may be an issue possibly?

Anyone know of a good place in Phoenix to have a 1972 Chevy pickup done up nice cosmetically? I have the engine work being done but want to have the interior/paint job done. Any suggestions?

My car. Restoration?
26th April 2007
I have a 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra with a 3.3 V6. I have only had it for 3 months. I work and go to school so I dont have the laregst budget. But I was wondering what all I can do to it, (gas additives, oil additives and etc.) to make it run better and bring it back to life.

what does nom mean when restoring muscle cars

Several magazines are devoted to this subject, like Hot Rodz and Deluxe Car Kulture. It seems like alot of complicated work. Have you ever worked on antique cars or known a person who does this? What do they like about it?
