Does anyone have any experience with restoring old mustang plastic parts? I am trying to restore my Ram air setup with the fiberglass, plastic plenum and flappers. Has anyone used the Krylon Satin Black Plastic paint? I have used it on the flapper assy’s and it looks great. I am curious if I should also paint the plenum. Mine is gray right now with all the correct part numbers. All the plenums I have ever seen are black. Looking for some professional advice. My ultimate goal to to restore car to original for shows. Thanks!

Hello,
I finally got home from college a day ago, my car had been parked since then and I hadn’t driven it. Since It was only a day, I didn’t have insurance on it yet, anyways tonight I finally decided to visit a friend about 7 minutes from my house. I parked my car outside and we were talking in the backyard hanging out.
Next thing I know, a high speed car chase is going on and im right in the middle of it, like 10 cops are chasing this one car, he turns onto our block, goes around, hits my car, destroys the front, he pulls out a gun and start running around the houses and jumping fences!
What a day!
He finally got arrested, his stolen car had insurance, but it was under his girlfriends name. I gave the police my info, and they gave me the Allstate policy claim #.
What can I do now besides calling the company?
Do I have any hopes in getting my car restored?
Will I have to go small claims court?
Any helpful advice?
-Thank and have a goodnight

My liscense was suspended due to a ticket from a while ago and I am in the process now of getting it reinstated..of course the DMV takes up to three weeks to send the restoration letter and I just got approved for a car so I need to get auto insurance right away…If my fiance gets the insurance policy in his name and puts me as an additional driver until I get my restoration letter…is this possible?

My dad doesn’t really know much about cars, there are no tracks anywhere near my house. It is my dream to restore an old car one day, but I really do not know the first thing about fixing cars. I really want to learn. How?

I took my 69 Mustang to a well known restoration specialist around town here in PA who does work out of his own garage, told him I wanted to put $10k max into it just to get it running and driving again. Well, he basically proceeds to tear the car apart like if you were doing a complete restoration, totally ignored my request to keep the bill at$10k, and has been hitting me with bill afer bill to do all this work I didn’t ask for. He says it needed it and since the car was apart anyway. I ended up having to take out a damn loan, and now that money is running short, I can’t get more, and he isn’t close to being done! I keep telling him to put it back together, I don’t have money for all this, and he keeps saying he’s getting there and will soon, but it doesn’t happen! If I run out of money, can he keep my car? What are my options here and what can he legally do against me if I run out of money? What should I do? I made the mistake of not getting anything in writing before this started.

Why most of women dont understand or appreciate the value of vintage and classic cars, like if you want to restore one at home and your wife is daily complaining abut it beaing around and asking you to get rid of it and telling you instead of wasting money on your project buy a new car? why they dont understand for example the diffrence between an old great classic pontiac 1970 firebird and a new 2007 Toyota Yaris? my wife openion is the Yaris worth the money you pay and is the real car and the Firebird is a piece of junk, I wonder ???

What are the pros and cons of painting/clear-coating the entire body, THEN reassembling all of the exterior/interior/powertrain parts….as opposed to painting just the interior/engine bay/underbody, then assembling the car, THEN painting/clear-coating the exterior?

I have no knowdledge about cars yet but I learn fast and I am good in repairing broken house hold items such as electric fans, flat iron, stoves, and stuff… I can also install water pipes and I can do minor repair on doors and hinges. I don’t know if that could help. But I really want to try…
