Hi,
Have a 1997 Intredid. Car runs beautifully (125,000 miles) even with poor maintenance on my part.
Problem is the black finish. It looks like I’ve parked it regularly in a toxic dump area. Clear coat is peeling (an understatement). Read that the finish is guaranteed for 5 years which has passed me bye, although one would think that Chrysler would not want such a scarred product on the road.
Have sanded down 50% of everything down to the base coat, but the roof is in such a condition that I’m supposing that it will take a solution to rid the deep crevices.
Guess what I’m looking for is some preliminary advice. I really like the car, but don’t want to spend more than the car is worth on a complicated restoration.
New used car? (Money tight) or a bandaid. Your comments will be truly appreciated.

Modding/Restoring my car?
24th January 2007
Ok, I have a 91 oldsmobile cutalss cierra, with a 3.8 v6 NA motor. I know that pontiac, buick, mercury and so on are all GM so they should all mesh fairly well with my car. I was just wondering, does anyone know of any good sites, magazines, or forums I can go to to find out more about modding and customizing my car. As well as restoring it? I am new to all of this, and I dont want to buy a whole nother car, I have had this one for a year now, and it hasnt done me wrong.
Actually, it is a 3.3 V6, my mistake.

Has anyone ever bought anything from Yearone?
22nd January 2007
I am looking at restoring my classic car so I called year one. They told me because my car is a Sedan they don’t have any parts for it.
Anyone know any good restoration sites that might have parts for a 67 Impala Sedan?
Bennett
