91 accord tach, speedo in op #2?
29th June 2007
Gregory A asked:
follow up to 1st inquiry,
tach does not move on start or off position, Odom inop, Eng temp, fuel gage, elec clock ctr console inop also.
Turn sig, battery indicator works,4 ways work, instrument cluster lights up. car starts run well.
suspect speed sensor needs replacing with a few other sensors. check all fuses in Eng compartment and Drvr side fuse panel all good.
just tryin to get started in restoration of car. we have chassis electrical wirin diagram at hand.
want to start with electrical then move to body and interior. thanx!

your best bet would be to go to a junk yard and get a new gauge cluster very easy fix as for the distributer their are 2 sets of plugs for it make sure the plug with 2 wires is connected all the way for that is your tachometer/rpm gauge and as far as the speedometer when and if you replace the gauge cluster there is a cable that runs from your ****** in through the firewall and into the gauge cluster replace that to if you go to a junk yard it should not cost no more then 35-40 for both. you could also check the speedometer cable that i was talking about see if it is pluged into the ****** but other then that it does not sound like a wiring problem what ever you do don’t start playing with wires they become a huge mess most of the time on honda’s its not bad wiring its a loose ground something small good luck you can contact me though honda’s are my life lol
