car restoration
krazyfoo asked:

I know a guy with a 67 camaro that has a roll cage installed(done well), and had the quarters replaced. unfortunately, they have planned on it for a drag car and have gutted the doors to where the outer shell is whats left, they have cut the dash off, but the guy has a whole new one, including the firewall (which wasnt cut on the 67) and he has a title with that. only rust left is basically 2 coin sized wholes(1 behind where the driver seat would go, 1 in the trunk) and some surface rust under the hood, etc. There is no interior and the rear end has been centerlinked, but has no gears. no ****** either..however, the guy is including a 75 chevy truck with a cadillac 500 big block motor which has 0 miles since the rebuild that actually will bolt right up with out any mods to the camaro. he was going to use the trucks wiring harness as well. he says the rest of the truck is pretty junky except for the bed which is diamond plate. it currently has a ****** in it, but its weak. oh and the people somehow cut and modded the k frame to be able to support more weight I believe.

I want to see what all of this is worth and how I could get the most out of it. I dont want to restore the camaro(i am already working on a 68) so the camaro probably needs to stay drag. Since the guy only wants 1800 for everything and I can probably get it for 1500, I figure I can probably make some money which will help fund the restoration of my 68. Would it be better to put the cadillac 500 and wiring harness in the camaro and make it a drag car, or sell them separate…is this not even a good investment? what do you think?

  1. It’s a car, not an investment.

If you want to buy it, just to sell it ant dry to make a profit off it, you have no business in the car world. You’re the kind of guy that screws it over for those of us who actually want the cars for what they are.

Leave it to someone who will put time and money into it, and actually keep the car.
