10 Things for Cleaning a Car

The car you see is the clutter of daily living in your car.What frustration!Have you checked prices at the local car wash lately? It’s expensive.  How can I quickly and thoroughly get this vehicle ready for daily use by my family and friends?

Ten Super Tips for Vehicle de-cluttering and cleaning.

  1. Look at the vechicle closely…all over the interior.As you replace items in the car…choose only those that MUST be at your fingertips?
  2. Remove any and all trash, gum wrappers, paper receipts, soda bottles, etc and recycle them.Take out everything from all cubbies, storage bins, or pockets.
  3. Remove floor mats and hose them down with water and Nok-Out. With a stiff brush, remove all debris.Move your vehicle to a sunny location for quick drying.
  4. Use a safe upholstery cleaner to gently scrub off gummy and stuck-on food particles.After the cleaning is done, use a non-toxic and safe spray to remove any remaining odorsi.e. Nok-Out.
  5. Spray the auto/suv/truck’s HVAC filter, a grate which is usually found under the outside of the windshield with a non-toxic and bieodegradable deodorizer.Simply turn the circulation system on ‘circulate’ not the ‘automatic.
  6. Either a hand-held, tank or upright vaccum cleaner should be used to do some deep cleaning of all carpets and upholstery to remove both surface and embedded pet hair, food particles, soil, and other debris.
  7. Dirt and odors collect in the truch and storage cubbies too.  Vaccum thoroughly, and then wipe with a deodorizing agent to remove topical odors.For your family’s safety and well being, use a non-toxic deodorizer for a soft neutral odor.
  8. Using a non-toxic, powerful and dependable product, spray and wipe the dashboard, sideliners, headliners, arm rests carefully.

  9. Spray the interior of the vehicle with a deodorizing non-toxic air cleaner.  Roll up the windows, and let the ventilation system circulate air for 3-6 minutes.

  10. Replace all of the mats, cup holders, and NECESSARY articles you need for daily use, lower the windows for fresh air to circulate in the car and smile…you’ve done it!Save a bunch of money!
